Admissions
Enrolling into RTP Christian Academy of Technology - "RTPCAT" can be a very simple process. Starting with a short tour of the facility, review of guidelines and a brief interview with the parents and student(s), a decision to enroll can be made within a short timeframe. RTP Christian Academy of Technology welcomes children of diverse backgrounds and provides daily experiences that foster acceptance, mutual respect, trust, and cooperation among students, teachers, and parents. The Academy does not discriminate based on race, color, or national and ethnic origin in the administration of our admissions, policies or programs. Admissions decisions are based, in unranked priority, on the following factors: prior school record, when applicable; observation and testing results; siblings of current or previous RTPCAT students and the commitment of families to the RTPCAT programs. Entry points into RTP Christian Academy of Technology’s program generally occur at all grades K-12th with Four-Year-Olds being included for entry for the 2009/2010 school year. Entrance testing to determine grade level is conducted prior to each student starting school. This assessment is done to help place students in classes that will challenge and nurture them. RTPCAT is not cemented into strict placement based on age or "grade", but more so, on the abilities of the student. If a student assesses above grade-level and performs well in classes, they may be allowed advanced placement in classes that will challenge them to achieve beyond their comfort zone. Additionally, if a student needs additional support in a particular subject, they may be placed in a class that is best suited to their skill level to ensure success. We expect excellence from our students and they rise to the challenge! Every student is unique in ability and skill. We provide an environment for students to grow and flourish into who God has predestined for them to be.
